Rush

Fall Rush 2009 has ended. Please check back again to see when the next rush will be!

What is Rush?

Rush is the period during the school year where we get the opportunity to meet the girls who are interested in joining our sorority. It is also the time when you can have any questions you have about sorority life answered and when you can decide whether or not this is something you might want to partake in. These events are created for you to learn the purpose and goals of our sorority as well as meet our sisters and have some fun!

Do I have to pay to rush?

Absolutely not. Rush events are all FREE of charge and rides will be provided. Snacks and food will also be provided at events.

If I rush, do I have to join Chi Delta Theta?

Nope. Rush is a time for you to learn about our sisterhood. There is no obligation to join by rushing. Just take this chance to see if this is something you might be interested in and have fun!

Does joining a sorority take up all my time?

It definitely doesn't. We have many sisters who actively participate in other organizations such as COSAM, AACF, PCE, CSA, TVSA, and many more. Our girls also find the time to do personal things such as work part-time, become RAs, and most importantly, study. We pride ourselves on striving hard to achieve good grades and it shows when many of our sisters receive Dean's List.

Who can join Chi Delta Theta?

Anyone can join! We are an Asian-American interest sorority, which means we strive to promote awareness and knowledge about Asian cultures on campus and throughout the community. You don’t have to be Asian to join. As long you have an interest in this, you can join. Chi Delta Theta does not discriminate against race, religion, or national origin.

Why should I "Go Greek"?

Studies show that Greek students tend to get the best experience out of their college careers. Plenty of successful people have been a part of a sorority or fraternity in their college life. In addition to the sense of accomplishment you feel by going Greek, you will also gain from the benefits such as community service (philanthropy), leadership skills, social skills, a broad network for future careers, scholarship opportunities, and most importantly, friendships that will last a lifetime.

How can I get more information?

We encourage you to contact our Rush Chairs, April Manaloto and Kimberly Tomas, or our President, Melanie Nera. You can also ask any of our sisters if you see them on campus! We will be glad to answer any questions you may have about Rush.
